Children's Ministry

First United Methodist Church is dedicated to providing opportunities for worship and Christian fellowship to our

young, from infants through college.

A nursery is provided Sundays, and Children's Church, Sunday School and Wee Worship is offered each Sunday.

Trip to "Avalanche Ranch" set as 2007 VBS theme

Each night, Sunday, June 17, through Thursday, June 21, 2007, we will meet. If you would like to enroll your children or help as a children's teacher, craft assistant, recreation leader, snack helper or doing publicity or decorating, please Children's Minister Cindy Green at 827-9831 or via email.

We participate in Kids Hope USA, with our adults providing mentoring to an at-risk child, one hour each week.

We make available fun and meaningful trips throughout the year, including trips to Camp Loucon near Leitchfield, Ky. (a ministry of the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church) and Lake Junaluska, NC (a ministry of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church).
